(260521) -- VIENNA, May 21, 2026 (Xinhua) -- Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar speaks at a press conference in Vienna, Austria, May 21, 2026. Austria and Hungary agreed on Thursday to deepen cooperation within the European Union (EU) framework, as leaders from both countries described the recent political change in Budapest as opening a "new chapter" in bilateral relations. The commitment came during Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar's visit to Austria, where he held talks with Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker. The two sides also agreed to convene a joint meeting of their governments later this year, according to the Austrian Press Agency (APA). (Xinhua/He Canling)
