Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], September 20 (ANI): Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey slammed Sam Pitroda's recent remarks, calling them 'very unfortunate.' He stated that Pitroda, who has never been an MLA or MP and lives abroad, should move to Pakistan or Bangladesh if he admires them.
Dubey added that those undermining India's image should be ousted from Rahul Gandhi's party, calling them 'enemies of Congress, the Maha Vikas Aghadi, and the INDIA alliance'.
Speaking to ANI on Friday, Dubey said, 'This is a very unfortunate statement. He was never an MLA or MP here, and no one even knows him in India. He is living somewhere abroad. If he finds Pakistan and Bangladesh that lovable, then he should go and live there. If he wants to go there, we will make arrangements for him. Whether he wants to go by train, on foot, by bus, by aeroplane, or even on a donkey, we can organise it. People like Sam Pitroda, who are trying to diminish India's image, should be ousted from Rahul Gandhi's party. They are enemies of the Congress, the Maha Vikas Aghadi, and the INDIA alliance...'
Sam Pitroda reportedly said in a media statement that he had been to Pakistan and 'felt at home'.
BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla had also launched a sharp attack on Congress, calling it an 'Islamabad National Congress' following Pitroda's remarks. He further alleged that Congress and Pakistan have been in collaboration for a long time.
Poonawalla said, 'The collab between Congress and Pakistan is a very old collaboration. Congress has followed a policy where they have given a clean chit to Pakistan on 26/11, Pahalgam, Pulwama, and undermined Indian forces. Now, Sam Pitroda says Pakistan is like his home and he feels comfortable there. He likes to be in Pakistan where Hindus are killed...The soft corner Congress has for Pakistan is reflected time and again...INC means Islamabad National Congress, not Indian National Congress.'
Meanwhile, Congress leader Pawan Khera, while addressing the issue of Overseas Congress chief Sam Pitroda's recent reported media statement on Pakistan, said that he is not aware of his remarks.
Khera also targeted the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, mentioning that they talk about 'Akhand Bharat' (United India) but have a problem, and someone else says the same thing. 'I have not heard what he had to say...RSS always talks about 'Akhand Bharat', but when someone else says it, they have a problem,' Khera told ANI. (ANI)
