DUBLIN, Ireland: The local media is reporting that US President Joe Biden will visit Ireland from April 11 until April 15.
Further, he will spend one day in Belfast, on April 11, and the remaining time in the Republic.
Initial reports said that Biden will speak at Trinity College, and possibly Collins Barracks and College Green.
Former US President Barack Obama delivered a speech at College Green in 2011.
Biden is believed to also plan to visit family members in Mayo and Louth.
Early in March, Biden confirmed that he would visit Ireland.
The visit to Ireland follows Biden being invited by British prime minister Rishi Sunak to make the trip to mark the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement in April.
In New York in March, to mark the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, Tanaiste Micheal Martin acknowledged that Biden would visit Ireland in April.
At that time, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar added that Biden's visit would be "good news."
